Kerry Katona and Mark Croft are getting a secret make-or-break weekend in the Lake District - in yet another "last-ditch" bid to save their marriage.After one week declaring he sought a divorce, Mark was mottled talking and laughing with his wife before they headed to Cumbria.
One of his close friends told us: "Mark just told everybody he was going away for the weekend with a pal - he didn't want anyone to know it was Kerry.
"They required using some time together without the kids and out of the public eye to figure out where their relationship was going."
Meanwhile Kerry, 28 - dubbed a lard-a*** by Mark after their latest split - told pals she wanted him back because he's FUNNY.
The mum-of-four declared: "I know he's wrong for me in so many ways but he makes me laugh and that's all that matters."
A pal said: "Kerry is fundamentally weak. She'll always find a reason to go back to Mark.
"She kept saying how great they were together because they could always joke around and make each other laugh."
Last Thursday Kerry headed to the flat where Mark, 38, bolted after their split. Soon afterwards they emerged together and headed to the Lake District.
Ironically, the warring couple's latest rift began on their last "romantic" holiday - in Magaluf, Majorca, in June.
