Carrie Prejean through a promise With the Devil (or Perez)?!

Does anybody know who control Miss America ?

Don't feel bad for being confused. These days, pageant queens are anonymous. If they didn't wear I.D. sashes, we'd mistake them for your average, everyday breast-implant model.

Except for Carrie Prejean. She's famous.

Now how did that happen, you wonder? Yes, how did that happen?

Was it a quirk of the YouTube era? A miracle? Or perhaps something else—something else involving a contract, a drop of blood and a dark figure some call Beelzebub?! Or a blogger and a handshake. Same difference.

'All regarding Steve' Grossed an estimated $3.6 million Friday

Fox's Sandra Bullock starrer "All About Steve" grossed an estimated $3.6 million in domestic boxoffice in its first day of release Friday, tying a holdover pic for top spot among daily rankings and besting two other wide openers.

Warner Bros.' 3D horror pic "The Final Destination" also fetched $3.6 million Friday for $38.7 million in cumulative boxoffice from its first eight days in release. "Destination" remains a favorite to repeat at No. 1 this weekend after topping the weekend rankings in its opening session.

The modestly better than anticipated first-day coin for "Steve" -- at the start of an oft-sleepy final summer frame -- should help the PG-13 comedy hit the teen millions during the four-day Labor Day session. "Steve" co-stars Bradley Cooper ("The Hangover") and Thomas Haden Church ("Sideways").

Lionsgate's sci-fi actioner "Gamer," starring Gerard Butler, bowed in third place with a first-day gross of $3.3 million. "Gamer" will have to perform gamely through the balance of the weekend to reach double-digit millions through Monday.
